For over 20 years, I have been helping families in Livonia, Michigan and throughout Wayne and Oakland counties navigate the complex and emotionally charged process of divorce. I read the Family Law Bar Journal every month, and also read the new Michigan appellate court cases on divorce, child custody and support and other issues on a daily basis. Additionally, I attend seminars on changes in family law and discuss the changes with other attorneys. Staying on top of the laws that come into play in a divorce proceeding is crucial in obtaining the best result.
I strive to get the best result for my client under all of the circumstances, always keeping in mind what particular aspects an individual client considers to be most important. I never lose sight of the fact that every divorce is as unique as the individuals involved.
I do not represent only men or only women in divorce actions. For example, I have won tough fights for fathers to get custody; and I have won fights for mothers to keep custody. I am candid with each client about what the likely results would be his or her case. I will fight tough fights for you; but I will let you know ahead of time what the odds are. With more than two decades of experience, I know ahead of time what judges will probably do in any given family law circumstance. And although I am ready to take any divorce case to trial when necessary; it is a statistical fact that 98% of divorce cases are settled without a trial. I am highly analytical and creative in finding ways to settle cases.
